Overview
The delegate feature allows an advisor to invite a current or new CapIntel user to access their account and perform actions on their behalf. The delegate will have access to all models, contacts, and portfolios in the advisor’s account. Each advisor will have the ability to add one delegate to their account. Delegates can service multiple advisors.
Adding a Delegate
- Navigate to your Settings from the options dropdown on CapIntel
- Select the Manage Delegates tab
- Select the Add a Delegate button
- Enter the Delegate’s First Name, Last Name, and Email. If the Delegate has a CapIntel account, ensure to enter the email the Delegate uses for their CapIntel login. If the Delegate does not have a CapIntel account, an email will prompt the Delegate to sign up.
Accessing CapIntel as a Delegate
The Delegate will receive an email to join or login to the CapIntel platform when they are invited.
The Delegate will be prompted to sign in or sign up depending on if they have an existing CapIntel account.
When the Delegate accesses the advisor account, they will be able to view and edit all models, contacts, and portfolios. The Delegate will see on all pages the name of the advisor that they are currently accessing.
The only difference between the Delegate and the advisor’s access is the settings. The Delegate will only be able to change the language of their CapIntel platform and change their password.
Switching Accounts as a Delegate:
If the delegate has multiple advisors that they service, they can switch between advisor accounts by selecting Switch Account in the Options dropdown.
Please note: when the Delegate first logs into their account, they will be in the session for the last advisor that they were previously servicing.
Once the Delegate selects the account, they will be redirected to the comparison list page of the account they selected.
