Overview

In this article we will go over how to create a Risk Profile for your contacts. Please note that the Risk Profile and questionnaire are only available to our Pro Users.

Adding a Risk Profile to a Contact

We will begin by going over how to add a risk profile to a preexisting contact, if you would like to learn how to create a contact, you can read more here. Once you have your contact information open by clicking the Contacts tab in the top, and then selecting your contact you will see three tabs which show any portfolios, comparisons and risk profiles saved to your contact.

Click the Risk Profiles tab to view any profiles saved to your contact. To add a new profile, click on the blue Add a Risk Profile button where you see it on the page.

If you have already assessed your contact's risk profile, you can skip the questionnaire which will appear if you click either button and find the correct profile, then click Save to add the risk profile to your contact's details.

A key component to our Pro user services includes a Risk Profile Questionnaire. With this built-in feature, you can easily assess your client's tolerance and financial needs for their investment. Once you have completed the assessment, you can save it to their profile.

Attaching a Risk Profile to a Comparison

There are a couple ways to attach a risk profile to a comparison. The first way we will go over is attaching it directly to your client's information.

First Method

Once you have your risk profile saved to your contact, you can then bring the risk profile to a comparison by clicking the Create Comparison button on the right of the profile when you hover your mouse cursor over the risk profile line.

You can now add existing models and client portfolios, or begin a new comparison under your contact's profile with the saved risk profile.

Second Method

Alternatively, you can begin a comparison as you normally would, then fill out the risk profile section once you've entered the comparison screen. Once you have assigned the Risk Profile, you can then toggle to view the holdings and how they line up with the Risk Profile associated with your client. You can continue to amend the portfolios in this version of the Comparison tool and the weight distribution of each fund.
