Overview
There are a few ways to save a portfolio using the CapIntel platform. We will cover how to save from the Comparisons, Models and Contacts tabs.
From the Comparisons Tab
In the Comparisons tab, any portfolio that isn't saved as a model or to a contact will have an unassigned tag. This means that even if it is saved, it will not be available anywhere except your main Comparisons tab, and since it is saved as a comparison, you will search the name of the comparison, not the portfolio.
To save a portfolio, click the small contextual menu on the portfolio card to display a drop-down menu. You can now choose to save this portfolio as a model for later, or to a specific contact. If you choose to save it to a contact, you will then be prompted to pick an existing contact or create a new one.
From the Models and Contacts Tab
With the CapIntel platform, your models will be saved according to how you begin to build them. Any portfolio created in the Models tab, will be saved as a model once you save it. Every portfolio created under a client's details will automatically save to this client.
For this example, we will begin by building a model under the Models tab. Click the + Create Model button in the top right corner.
Once you have searched the funds and allocated the weight of each fund, you can click the Save Portfolio button on the top of the window. This new model will now appear in your Models tab.
If you would like to assign this model to a client, you can open the model in Comparison, and from here you can click the Save button, which will prompt you to choose a client, or create a new one.
