CapIntel's product group function helps simplify and streamline views when managing accounts across clients. In this article, we'll walk through the steps to effectively use the product group tool to create aggregate account views across multiple clients.
Selection and Loading
Begin by accessing a client's profile and select all the portfolios to include in the analysis or group.
Once the selection is completed, proceed by loading a comparison to start the grouping process.
Viewing Multiple Clients
To gain a comprehensive overview of multiple clients, couples, or joint accounts, follow these steps:
Click on the Load button and select Existing Client Portfolio button positioned above the graph.
Navigate to the Contacts section to choose and Load additional client portfolios.
Creating the group
With all the portfolios now part of the comparison, you can create a group by:
Selecting Add a Group.
Give the group a suitable name, which will aid in easy identification and management.
Customizing Values and Advisory Fees
Customize the values and associated advisory fees for each account within the group:
Tailor these values according to your preferences, keeping in mind that default values and fees will mirror the existing portfolio settings.
Ensure that all clients’ investment products are accurately represented within the group:
Manually enter values for individual investment products. Once the customizations are complete, click Add Group to include the group in the comparison.
After completing the above steps, there will be an additional card below the performance graph:
This card bears the name of the product group just created, in this example “Household” and it allows one to compare and analyze the group's performance, streamlining the analysis process.
Export
When the comparison is ready to be exported to a proposal, select Export Proposal.
Enjoy the flexibility to include or exclude the product group and individual accounts as needed in the final proposal by checking it on or off inside the proposal builder screen.
This feature not only simplifies workflow but also enhances the ability to provide valuable insights to clients, whether working with individual clients or couples with joint accounts.
