Welcome to Correlate 4.0, CapIntel's new look which includes a switch to Light Mode. In this guide, we'll cover the upcoming changes and improvements you'll see when first signing into Correlate 4.0.

Please note that the following enhancements are being rolled out to our existing enterprise customers throughout November and December and may not currently be available in your environment.

Portfolio Builder Improvements

The Portfolio Builder has been updated to reflect a larger window for you to create and modify client portfolios and models with ease, along with creating larger portfolios that contain many holdings. Portfolios and models can still be created from the familiar places such as the models folder, a client's profile and when launching a comparison.

In this case, we will show how a model can be created from the "Models" tab in the main navigation. First, click "Models", and then choose the option to "Create a Model".

Create Model Light Mode

Once the portfolio builder launches, begin searching for products and add them into the model. Some improvements on this screen include the search function remaining open with populated results for faster addition when creating larger portfolios.

GIC and HISA Simulator Light Mode

We've also improved the way to add simulations to a portfolio, by moving them directly into the product search for holdings. Once a GIC or HISA is selected, a pop-out window will enable customization for the rate of return and name.

There is now a tab inside the portfolio builder to view key metrics for the products added. To review metrics such as MERs, performance details, classifications and objectives, click "Metrics" above the list of holdings.

Once all holdings have been added to the model, you can then assign the weight to each holding, give the model a name, and adjusting the investment size and advisory fee if applicable.

When the model is completed, the "Save Portfolio" button will turn blue to save the model for use in comparisons.

Creating a Comparison

Comparisons can be started from the same places as before, including a client profile, models list and from the comparison's page. In this case, we will start a comparison from the "Comparisons" tab.

Once the option to create a comparison has been selected, there will be four ways to begin. There is the option at the top to simply search for funds and create a quick illustration of several products side-by-side. Otherwise, a portfolio can be created from scratch or brought in from a client profile or models list.

Begin Comparison Light Mode

From inside the comparison screen, there are three ways to load additional products. If another portfolio or model should be added, they can be found under the "Load" button, or created under the "Create" button which will launch the new portfolio builder screen. Individual products such as funds or securities can be added using the search bar above the graph.

Adding Products to Comparison Light Mode

The navigation inside the comparison remains similar, with the available graphs and date ranges appearing above the graph for ease of navigation. The comparison settings can be adjusted in the top right corner of the screen.

Once the comparison has been reviewed and customized, it can be saved by giving the comparison a name and clicking the "Save" icon.
